Tämän eurooppalaisen standardin tässä osassa esitetään metallisista materiaaleista valmistettujen standardin EN 13480-1 mukaisten teollisuusputkistojen materiaaleja (mukaan lukien päällystetyt materiaalit) koskevat vaatimukset. Standardi koskee toistaiseksi vain riittävän sitkeitä metallisia materiaaleja. Eurooppalaisen standardin tämä osa ei koske virumisalueella olevia materiaaleja. HUOM. Muutosmenettelyllä tullaan myöhemmin lisäämään muita materiaaleja. Standardissa esitetään teollisuusputkistojen valmistuksessa käytettävien metallisten materiaalien valintaa, tarkastusta, testausta ja merkintää koskevat vaatimukset.
