Standardissa esitellään geometrisen toleroinnin lähtökohdat ja määritellään geometrista tolerointia koskevat perusteet. HUOM. Kohdassa 2 ja taulukossa 2 ilmoitetut viitestandardit sisältävät yksityiskohtaisempia tietoja geometrisista toleransseista.
