(1) Tässä eurokoodin 3 osassa 4-2 esitetään pystylieriön muotoisen tai suorakulmaisen, maanpäällisen, nestemäisten tuotteiden varastointiin tarkoitetun, seuraavat rajoitukset täyttävän terässäiliön rakennesuunnittelua koskevat periaatesäännöt ja soveltamissäännöt: a) nestepinnan yläpuolisen sisäpuolisen paineen ominaisarvo on vähintään ?100 mbar ja enintään 500 mbar9) b) teräksen lämpötilan mitoitusarvo on välillä ?50 ?C…+300 ?C. Kun säiliö valmistetaan käyttämällä austeniittisia ruostumattomia teräksiä, teräksen lämpötilan mitoitusarvo voi olla välillä ?165 ?C…+300 ºC. Väsytyskuormitettujen säiliöiden lämpötila rajoitetaan arvoon T < 150 ?C c) nestepinnan korkeuden yläraja on enintään lieriönmuotoisen tai suorakulmaisen säiliön yläreuna.
