ISO 12212:2012 specifies requirements and gives recommendations for the mechanical design, materials selection, fabrication, inspection, testing and preparation for shipment of hairpin heat exchangers for use in the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. Hairpin heat exchangers include double-pipe and multi-tube type heat exchangers.
